In a world in which many talk about bringing light to the world and defeating the dark , it's easy for me to feel like the bad guy they're all fighting against, even though I know this is not true. I won't lie to you: my soul feels more called to the Dark than to the Light, and I know I'm not the only one. That being said, the view of Darkness in the spiritual community is very disappointing in my opinion. Darkness and Light are balanced, and some of us lean more one way than the other while some are in the middle. We're varying shades of Light and Dark. We're all needed. I am of a Darker nature, but that does not make me ugly, loathsome or scary. I believe that my path involves showing people that Darkness is a natural and beautiful part of nature and distance in general.
I get why people , human and non human, fear it or hate it. I used to be that way, in fact, until I found that the Darkness held my power, potential and truest self. Darkness is the hidden, the unknown and the arcane. But it's sacred just like the Light. Yes I am star born, but I am also vampiric (as for which vampiric being, I 'm still working on it). My personal purpose is to blend and combine the two. But my purpose I feel is to... Bring that sacred aspect of Darkness back to the world. In nature Darkness is needed for the survival of many creature, plants and animals. It can't be ignored, wished away or forcefully banished. If this world is to heal, then I believe Darkness must exist alongside the Light.

And the Lord said, 'Let there be Light.' And there was Light. And He separated the Light from the Darkness and saw that it was Good. So if light had to be allowed to Be, why didn't Darkness? unless it already was.

Interestingly enough, there are verses in the Bible that describe the Christian God with metaphors alluding to the Night than the Day, but I can't remember if this was Old Testament or New Testament. I respect that Light and Dark are two separate kingdoms with distinct rules and such, but to have one without the other would like living on a tidal locked planet. Darkness should allowed to flourish just like the Light

That's awesome that you are finding your place. The world of Darkness shines bright with a light of its own.
The way I think of "Darkness"? Is that it is merely what one is unable to perceive, illuminate, or process at their current state.
"Let there be Light" can be a powerful mabtra/affirmation for one's soul.

How would we bring Darkness back into the world? And what is Darkness?
I so agree that each Light and Dark have "good" and "bad" aspects, yet people tend to fear and hate the Dark and respect and honor Light. Why is that? What are we talking about exactly when we say "Dark"?
